use filezilla client for uploading files on your server
FileZilla FeaturesOverview
What is FileZilla?i
Filezilla is a File Transfer Protocol program. All that means is that Filezilla can be used to transfer files between two computers. I use Filezilla all the time and I've been very pleased with it.
There are some things you will need to know to set Filezilla up. First, you will need the IP address or DNS domain name of the computer you are trying to send the file or files to. If you are trying to send files to a web site, the DNS domain name is the "www.siteme.com" part of the name. You will also need a log-in name and password to access the computer you are sending the file to. Your computer is usually referred to as the local machine and the machine you are trying to connect to is the remote machine.
Once you have made the connection, you will (usually) have a left and right panel displayed. The left panel shows your local computer and the right panel shows the remote computer you are connected to. You can drag-n-drop files from your computer to the remote system, or Viceversa. You can also drag files from other windows folders and drop the files or folders onto the remote system (again or Viceversa). There are a lot more items you can do, but that covers the basics.
The program is shareware (I think) and well worth a nice donation to support the development effort. The program works well.
